HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wow I can’t believe it is 2015! Looking forward to this year with our family!

3rd-Yesterday Cooper & Bryant went over to Luke’s for his birthday party. They stayed the night over there and had a NERF war today. We came and picked them up in the afternoon and headed to Caleb and Angela’s house for Dustin’s birthday party. We had dinner Read more...

December 2014

Wow! I can’t believe this year is coming to a close! What a busy, memory filled year we have had.

Dec. 6-Today Cooper and Bryant got up and headed out on a Guy’s field trip today with Bobby, Laura, Landon, Kenley, & Luke Woods, and Blaine Bledsoe. They went to the Marine Museum. The boys thoroughly enjoyed their day. They were very impressed with the number of restaurants Read more...

October 2014

4th-We have been planning on having a yard sale all year long but when it came down to it we weren’t as prepared as we were hoping to be. I crammed this week and got a bunch of stuff out and priced for the sale. I was able to make some muffins and cookies last night for the kids to sell. They believe their part of a yard sale is to sell muffins and cookies that I have made and keep all Read more...

September 2014

The last day of September camp started our September out. (see August’s post for camp’s post) We actually made it home before dinner time and were able to clean out the motorhome, finish entering my consignment stuff, and go to bed at a decent hour.

August 2014

Well August has been about as busy as we could possibly make it. Wow! I feel like my tongue is hanging out trying to keep up.

We started school on August 4, after a busy weekend going to DC for Brick Fair. Cooper finished up his extra work over the summer so got to skip 4th grade and go into 5th grade. He is starting a new curriculum this year. We switched him to Alpha Omega’s Read more...

June 2014

To get things started this month, I have picture of a bunch of the freebies I’ve gotten while learning to coupon. I was able to set it all out and have a lady come pick out what she thought the Nelsons could use for Special Hope Network in Africa. I was thrilled for the stuff to go to someone that could use it and they were thrilled to have some stuff to give to the people they Read more...

Feb. Day Out With Mom

We have been studying about George Washington in school so I have been thinking it would be fun to take the kids up to Mt. Vernon so they could picture where we were reading about. I mentioned it to Laura and she found that in Feb. they were having a Free Admission day so I decided we would try to make it up there and take advantage of the free day since it is $17 per adult and $14 per kid Read more...

To Date or Not to Date?

So, we are working on teaching Cooper to put his name and the date on
every school paper he turns in. (It’s quite a challenge to try to
figure out what day an undated paper was completed!). Somehow
remembering to write the date is a monumental task! So after talking
about it, Heidi and I decided we would buy a date stamp for him. He’d
like to set it Read more...

During A Typical Day of School…

Today while doing spelling with Bryant I just had to shake my head and chuckle.

He was supposed to be filling in the circle next to the word that wasn’t spelled correctly out of a set of 4 words.

Example:

1. 0 ride     0 around      0 tyme      0 mouse

Bryant fills in the circle by mouse. When I asked him why he filled that one in he said well it Read more...
