September 2014

The last day of September camp started our September out. (see August’s post for camp’s post) We actually made it home before dinner time and were able to clean out the motorhome, finish entering my consignment stuff, and go to bed at a decent hour.

August 2014

Well August has been about as busy as we could possibly make it. Wow! I feel like my tongue is hanging out trying to keep up.

We started school on August 4, after a busy weekend going to DC for Brick Fair. Cooper finished up his extra work over the summer so got to skip 4th grade and go into 5th grade. He is starting a new curriculum this year. We switched him to Alpha Omega’s Read more...

Cooper’s 9th Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Cooper’s 9th birthday! Our plan was to have a swim party at David and Janelle’s and then bring all the boys home with us for the night. Well when we got up Chester didn’t feel good. He wasn’t sure if he was getting sick or not. We decided I would go ahead and do Cooper’s party at David and Janelle’s but just not bring the boys home. I Read more...

Kaylin’s Birthday Tea Party

I got up and got hustling this morning. I decorated a tea pot cake for Kaylin. Then I cleaned up the house and made snackies for lunch. Cooper & Bryant got to go down to Laura’s and play Lego for the day so they didn’t have to be at a girls tea party. ┬áLorianne & her kiddos came as well as Tara Martin, Gwyneth Cox, & Laura. Kaylin didn’t think I knew how to make Read more...

Brick Fair

We started out the busyness of August with Brick Fair at the Dulles Expo Center on the 2nd. It was Men & Boy’s campout weekend but there weren’t any going with boys our boys ages so we decided to go to Brick Fair since Laura has been wanting to take the boys for the last few years. We figured eventually the boys will outgrow Lego so we’d better take them while they enjoy Read more...

July 2014

We started July with Kaylin going to Gwenyth’s birthday swim party. The party was at the Corle’s pool. I took Kaylin & Kolby with me. It is amazing the kids aren’t raisins now. They stayed in the pool for hours. It was a perfect day for swimming as it was 90* I believe. The party started at 11:00 and we stayed until 4:00. Abby had prepared a snacky lunch so we took a Read more...

June 2014

To get things started this month, I have picture of a bunch of the freebies I’ve gotten while learning to coupon. I was able to set it all out and have a lady come pick out what she thought the Nelsons could use for Special Hope Network in Africa. I was thrilled for the stuff to go to someone that could use it and they were thrilled to have some stuff to give to the people they Read more...

May 2014

Well I’m quite behind on posting things so I’m going to just try to recap this month and slowly work my way backwards month by month.

We started out the month of May on a business trip in our new motorhome. We left on the 28th of April and were gone through the 2nd of May. We drove all over southern VA and the northern part of NC. Each night we camped in a Walmart parking Read more...

You Gave Me The Wrong Change!

There are days as a Mom that you wonder will it ever be important to your kids to tell the truth or obey. Some days you feel like giving up and burying your head in the sand and hope all is well when you come up again. But then there are days like today that give you a glimmer of hope and make all those hard days totally worthwhile and make you never want to give up but keep plugging Read more...

When Your 8 Year Old Out-Thinks You

Cooper has all the sudden gotten embarrassed about posting his fictional school stories on his blog so we told him he didn’t have to make the posts public. He figured out how to make those posts password protected so we would be the only ones that could read it. Well the other day I went to grade his work. I saw he had posted a post so I put in the password and was quite surprised to find Read more...
